Lara’s Post Workout Recovery Shake

We all appreciate a reward after a tough workout. Whether you’ve left it all at the gym today, or enjoyed a moderate, easier pace; what you eat before and after your workouts has a significant impact on muscle recovery and on your performance next session. These vanilla recovery shakes are smooth and creamy, and an absolutely delicious way to repay your body for all that hard work. 

Ingredients: (makes 2 shakes)

4 ice cubes, 2 C milk, 2 scoops vanilla protein powder (currently I am using Cygen Laboratories Nutriwhey Iso-90 which has 27 grams protein per serving), 1 banana, 2 tbsp peanut butter.  Blend at high speed until smooth. Pour into two tall glasses and sprinkle with cinnamon if desired.
